A strong Painting Tradition

Once someone put paint inside tubes, for artists the outside world became their studio.

They left their solitary studios and painted with the other artists enjoying natural light!

Come to Bretagne with us and be inspired as were Paul Gauguin, and the NABIS painters

such as Pierre Bonnard and Edouard Vuillard.

Gary Smith has many years of painting and teaching, gives positive individual coaching and gets solid results. He has a BA in Fine Arts from Guelph University and studies at the Art Academy of Canada. His work is represented in Toronto at John Libby Art Gallery. There are so many scenes begging to be painted ~ seascapes, beaches, old villages, cafés, farms and abbayes. So let the artist in you come out and play.

We will paint and draw from 9 to 4 pm for five days as well as take field trips to sites, and an excursion to Paul Gauguin and Pont Aven museums in this birthplace of the Nabis. Visiting the art museum will reinforce the lessons taught.
